The subject of the photo is amazing, I really like the way you used selective focus on the eyes only, it really brings the attention towards them and draws you into the image. One thing I however consider bad is the square crop. In my opinion, the natural aspect ratio that comes out of the camera just looks better, but that is a matter of opinion. With a normal portrait ratio, you could give a little bit more headroom above the eyes and a little bit below the teeth as well, giving the viewer a more distinct line (along the nose) upwards which to follow. I believe it will assist and complement the selective focus very well. I would also pump up the contrast a notch, but again, a matter of opinion. Other than that, well done!

I really like this picture! I love how the eyes of the crocodile glisten forest green c: Although, I don't like this blur thing going on. I mean, I know it's called "Eyes of the Beast", but I think you should just leave out the blur. It wouldn't be so... cropped looking? Other than that, I really like how it turned out. I mean, how could you take such a perfect picture of a crocodile close up? Anyways, keep up the good work, and practice on your square crops! Please take more pictures of reptiles too! They look so cool!

I was just looking through your works and came across this one. Wow! No wonder you received a DD for it! Well done! The focus, the centered creature, the way the details in the focused bit are so crystal clear! I admire this piece so much!
